Juve beat plucky Empoli 2-0 but it was not an easy match. Juve were making hard work of it until Giovinco was brought down outside the penalty area and Andrea Pirlo made the free kick count. Juve win 2-0 at home to Udinese with goals from Carlos Tevez and Claudio Marchisio.  Juve were hit by a number of injuries but played the first half of the match at a blistering pace. Roberto Pereya, on loan from the very same Udinese,  played particularly well. Alvaro Morata came on the in final five minutes and almost scored. Good performance by the team all round.
