It would have to be another 18 months with an option for a third based on appearances. If he plays, say 20 times (more than half) in the league next season, an extra year is triggered. Seems fair to me.
Pogba is still a concern. I heard one whisper that he would sign a new contract if he’s happy with the release clause. That’s hardly ‘committed to the club’.
I would give him the keys to the front door.
Many players and/or agents these days want alsorts of clauses written in. I can understand that many players want to experience more in football and go from country to country. It’s probably inevitable that Pogba will want to play in France. I hope this can happen in 5 years time though. Whether he goes sooner or later we’ll still make some good money out of him. We need him to be a Zidane like sale.
I don’t think pogba would go to France what,s the point playing in that league.
One reason: PSGs money. The amount they can offer can be very persuasive. Just ask Ibra, Pastore, Lavezzi, Verratti, Sirigu, Silva, Marquinhos, Motta, Menez or Cavani. Plus he’s french, so probably more familiar with the language/culture.
