Weekend game 31 have come and gone. Was it a good weekend for Juve no actually it was a brilliant one. As Juve see of Pescara 2-1, the result does not reflect the game as on the highlights it shows total domination by the old lady but somehow the keeper was in tip top form he earned his wages, the only other team to keep up the race or shall we say keep Juve under pressure was Napoli who beat Genoa 2-0 in reality it would have been a shock any other result. As for Milan what happen as they took a 2-0 lead in Firenze and in spite having a player sent off in the early part of the game came back to share the points, a result which did not go down well with the traveling fans (ah diddum’s) the other game was Lazio who failed to beat Roma in the capital derby as they share the points 1-1, but the game will be more remembered for all the wrong reasons, violence well before kick-off which left with 8 people needing hospital treatment (bad advert for Italian football), but the best result has to be the defeat of the nerazzurro as they lost to Atalanta not 1-0 or anything like that but 4-3, really? In still smiling, after been 3-1 it took Denis just 12 minutes to turn the result on its head, on the final whistle the players could not take the defeat so started a fight (handbags at forty passes) after the game Moratti was interviewed and made comments like that the referees are plotting against Inter, (whatever).
At the other end of the table we can safely say (apart from a real miracle) goodbye Pescara after the defeat against Juve are planning next season in Seria B, as for Palermo two wins out of two this time an away win at Sampdoria 3-1 thus joining Genoa and Siena (who drew 0-0 with Parma) on 27 points three teams playing out their future, but with 21 points left to play for Chievo, Torino and Sampdoria are not safe yes they are 8 and 9 points clear but three more wins by the chasers and suddenly you’re in the mire.

Tomorrow night Juve host Bayern Munich, after that awful display in Germany we can say that Juve were rather lucky to only end up losing 2-0, the result is easily turned over but Juve have to be more cynical in front of goal, it will be a hard tough task but not impossible, just try to keep them on the back foot and do not concede an early goal (don’t concede a goal at all even better). An early goal for Juve will put Bayern under pressure and make errors thus allowing Juve to play out their game. But Juve have to turn up for the game firstly, a turnaround in tomorrow’s night game Juve can and probably go all the way to Wembley and that’s only 90 minutes away from what can only be histories best ever win, and it would show some real character from Seria B to Champions league Champions within seven year wow almost unthinkable. BRING IT ON.
