Can`t see there being too many tickets spare for away supporters, they put in extra seats for the Real Madrid game last year and sold out very quickly among their own fans ( Ronaldo et all managed a 0-0 draw ) and it is unlikely they will take the game to any of the bigger stadiums at such short notice.

i'd love to go but short notice with work e.t.c. would be a good night in Dublin but the main thing is we need a result...forza juve!!!

The game will be shown live on Irish TV RTE Chan 2 and via the web stream on RTE.ie worldwide but excluding....Italy. Kick off 19:45hrs

2-0 will be enough (probably not last season..) 2nd leg we should be able to score some more with Shamrock looking for a goal or two...at least around 50 Juve fans got into the game as well.

Should have been four nil at least and Amauri unlucky not to get hat trick. 2nd leg should be a canter with goal scoring practice a priority. In 1977 Juve were in Belfast and won 1-0 and in the 2nd leg had 35 chances but only scored 5 against nil, against The Glens.( part timers )

does anyone know if we beat shamrock are we in the group stages or are there more rounds ?

As far as I know there is another round of knock-out after this, it is complicated, with the losers from the champions league qualifiers joining in and then after that it is twelve groups of four teams playing home and away with top two going through to another knockout stage, as well as more joiners from the champs league.UEFA really have it all worked out as a big money spinner and the big clubs can`t lose.

Iuan you are correct there is another round to play before the league, one thing is that the draw in the next round there will be no two class tier, bigger team v smaller team, so Juve can actually be drawn against the likes of Aston Villa, Manchester City, Dundee Utd, Porto, PSV, Bayern Leverkusen or even Borussia Dortmund, they cannot be drawn against either Napoli or Palermo, the draw will be held this Friday, the games to be played either the 17/18-August with the return on the 24/25 August, as for the Champions league drop outs I have not seen notification that they will enter the Europa league at this stage, I know that they enter at a later stage, but I could be very wrong, I have read the UEFA regulations there is mention of it happening, but as you say money always opens doors….

Mario

too long , its better than playing those games that mean nothing ,thats what having a bad season does !

Michael Zaccaria

Be great to draw an English team although I hope we start to reverse the trend of always seeming to perform very poorly over here...2nd leg should be fairly straight forward and a sellout at Modena's ground! Forza Juve vinci per noi....

Well celtic have been put out of champs lge and they are now in europa lge play off, this year starts two moments when champs lge drop outs get into europa. We have just come from watching CSKA Sofia in Belfast, hope Juve dont play them next!!!

Luan I have to say you were correct teams who lose out in the Champions league even at the early stages are dropped into the Europa league, but my question is – teams who lose in the Europa league where do they drop down too --, as you said it’s all down to money money money, the clubs in the C.L. never lose out a great deal, well lets hope that the draw today will be kind to Juve, not because we cant win but as Juve’s season has already started I’m sure that they would like to just play out the 180 minutes at a good pace.

The aim is to go as far as possible in this competition to keep the Juve name amongst the teams that have a great european tradition.
